2025 Top Tens: Our Most-Booked Countries

10. Ireland

Following a team Retreat to Ireland at the end of 2024, the number of Local Foreigner client trips to the Emerald Isle jumped significantly in 2025, driven by an appetite for golf, whiskey, and beautiful castle hotels.

9. Switzerland

The hills were alive with the sound of Local Foreigner clients this year, as Switzerland eked its way into our top ten most-booked countries, anchored by skiers heading to Gstaad, Zermatt, and St. Moritz. But travelers weren’t skipping the cities on the way to the slopes, and Lucerne, Geneva, and Zurich also got their fair share of love.

8. Spain

Our top 2025 Travel Trend prediction, Spain jumped up two spots on the list this year, driven by major demand for the Balearic Islands, with Mallorca leading the way. Local Foreigner clients stayed in 15 different hotels on an island that’s less than 50 miles long.

7. England

Hopping across the pond to London is de rigeur around here, but this year, Local Foreigner travelers stuck around in the country, exploring the charms of Ascot, Liverpool, Cambridge, Canterbury, Cornwall, Surrey, Cotswolds, Oxford, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire as well.

6. Japan

Japan was hot this year, with new openings in Osaka driving a trend that saw the average number of destinations on a Japan itinerary grow beyond Tokyo and Kyoto. Nikko, Niseko, Hakone, and the Izu Peninsula were the next most popular stops.

5. Greece

Greece jumped three spots from 2025’s list, and while clients stayed in hotels on ten different Greek islands in 2025, that doesn’t tell the whole story - it’s also one of the most popular destinations to explore via yacht, which allows for flexibility to explore smaller islands, picturesque stretches of coast, and quiet inlets far from the crowds of the major Cycladic beach clubs.

4. Mexico

Local Foreigner clients spent a lot of time on Mexican beaches this year, with Riviera Maya, Punta Mita, Cabo, and Tamarindo taking the top four spots, but they soaked up culture as well as sun in Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, and Oaxaca as well.

3. France

From the Alps of Courchevel, Le Miroir, Val D'Isere, Megeve, and Chamonix to the wine regions of Burgundy, Champagne, and the Rhône, and all over both coasts (including more than a thousand nights in Provence and the Côte d’Azur), Local Foreigner clients had France covered this year.

2. The United States

We sent travelers to 34 states and Washington DC this year; California, Florida, and New York were the places where clients visited the widest variety of destinations.

1. Italy

More than 1,200 individual itineraries headed out the door to Italy, representing almost ten years’ worth of nights on the ground. We sent travelers to Amalfi, Bernalda, Bologna, Capri, Chianti, Cortina D'Ampezzo, Dolomite Mountains, Florence, Forte dei Marmi, Genoa, Ischia, Italy, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Lecce, Milan, Montalcino, Naples, Noto, Palermo, Perugia, Piedmont, Portofino, Porto Cervo, Porto Ercole, Positano, Praiano, Puglia, Ravello, Rome, Santa Margherita di Liguria, Sardinia, Siena, Sicily, Sorrento, Taormina, Trentino Alto Adige, Tuscany, Umbria, and Venice.
