Born and raised on Long Island, Michelle first landed in New York on a music scholarship to NYU followed by a brief stint in PR and a 13-year run at a major financial firm. She finally found her way to the luxury travel industry in 2016, being an avid traveler who had always dished out travel advice to friends and family. Michelle joins the Local Foreigner team after spending 5 years at a boutique luxury travel consultancy in New York. She currently lives in downtown Manhattan with her husband and three little kids, who accompany her on most of her adventures.

She attended German school before moving to Italy to study Interior Design, experiences that shaped her global perspective and her fluency in multiple languages. While her background spans continents, she remains proudly Latina at her core — warm, intuitive, and deeply relationship-driven.
