A highly personalized concierge service for sophisticated travelers, Culturati Travel Design grew out of Nancy's 21 years as the Editor in Chief of Travel + Leisure. Her goal is to open up the world for her clients as it was for her during her time at the magazine by tapping into her international network of contacts and vast knowledge of the world. With her London-based travel planner Molly Chapman, Nancy creates trips that deliver peerless insider experiences of destinations, with deep dives into arts and culture, food and shopping, and sublime hotels and resorts.

Nancy is a native of Manhattan who caught the travel bug early as the daughter of a pioneering career woman who didn’t want to leave her only child behind when she went on vacation. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in Art History, Nancy pursued a career in publishing. She began in the fiction department of The New Yorker, extended her territory by editing destination focused lifestyle books at Clarkson Potter (French Style, Caribbean Style, American Country), then turned her attention to interiors and landscapes as the Editor in Chief of House & Garden. But it was in her next position, as the Editor in Chief of Travel + Leisure for over 21 years, that she really got to see the world – from Australia and New Zealand to the Maldives, East Africa, Brazil, and China, with countless stops along the way. Nancy is the founder of Culturati Travel Design, where she taps into her interests in arts and culture, as well as food and style, and sublime hotels and resorts.

Travel has always been part of Molly’s life. She caught the bug early, spending magical summers on a game reserve in Kenya thanks to her family’s love of Africa. Her interest in different cultures was further shaped by her father’s travels filming wildlife documentaries; he’d always return with a small memento and a great story. While travel was always a passion, her career in the industry came by chance. She studied French and Politics at the University of Bristol and spent her year abroad in Paris, where she completed a second stage at the French DMC Exclusive and Private under Manuel de Croutte. It was there she met Nancy Novogrod, a chance encounter that set her on this path. She returned to Bristol and began working part-time as a Travel Coordinator at Culturati Travel Design. What started alongside her studies has since grown into a four-year fulltime role, working closely with Nancy, and her passion for the industry continues to grow!
