Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Amanda grew up enjoying the beauty of the California coastline, exploring the Channel Islands, and spending time in Hawaii where her dad is from. She carried her love of traveling to university where she studied abroad in Madrid. Since graduating from Wake Forest University with a degree in Political Science and Spanish, she returned to Los Angeles where she began a career in hospitality. She first worked in PR and marketing for Cachet Hotel Group later transitioning into an operations role at Viceroy Hotel Group. After four years in Los Angeles, she decided to go back to school, later receiving a master's in international management from Birkbeck, University of London School of Business. Because Amanda currently lives in London, she has been fortunate enough to explore the local ins and outs of the city, as well as the British countryside. She is also happy to always be just a short train ride away from Paris and a short flight from other top European destinations. Given her background in luxury hotel management, Amanda has always been a resource for friends, colleagues, and family seeking travel recommendations. Through the Local Foreigner, she has decided to turn her passion for planning luxury travel into a career, helping clients plan holidays they will never forget.

Geraldine was born and raised in Mauritius and has been based in the UK for over 20 years. She currently resides in Hampshire with her husband Ced, their son Raphael, and their dog Coco.
Geraldine brings extensive experience in client relations and account management. Prior to joining Amanda’s team, she worked at Azure Collection, overseeing client relationships across the South and South-West of the UK and successfully expanding the company’s portfolio. She also held roles at Bowhill & Hoseasons Villas, TUI, where she collaborated closely with suppliers and buyers on an international scale.
A native French speaker, Geraldine’s language skills are a valuable asset to our team, enabling smooth communication with French-speaking clients and partners. Known for her approachable and professional style, she excels at developing and maintaining long-term, productive relationships with clients.

She holds a Master’s in Food Culture, Communication & Marketing from the University of Gastronomic Sciences and a journalism degree from Western Washington University, giving her a strong foundation in storytelling and audience engagement. Raelynn leverages this expertise to bring her clients’ travel experiences to life, ensuring every detail tells a compelling story.

Ava was born and raised in Santa Barbara and brings extensive experience in fisheries management and advocacy. She most recently served as Assistant Director for the Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara and as Executive Director of the California Lobster and Trap Fishermen's Association, supporting sustainable fisheries and representing the interests of local fishermen.
She has recently transitioned into a new role as a Travel Coordinator, where she applies her organizational expertise and attention to detail to craft seamless and memorable experiences for clients.
